Industrial Projects Department from Intermodal Forwarding, Spain, is working on the construction of a ThermoElectric Plant in Honduras, shipping cargo from several origins worldwide among which there are plenty Heavy/project cargo pieces.

In this last shipment, they had to arrange the transport of a Gear Unit from Germany to Honduras. Within the collaboration of XLP Member HBH Logistics, Ratingen branch, who has promptly secured road permits and booked space on a breakbulk vessel to ensure delivery on time, cargo is now heading to its final destination.

The cargo included a wooden skid measuring 470x360x283 cm, and weighing 55 tons, along with a few container units.

Upon reaching the port, the team faced a challenge in providing seaworthy packing. With the support of another valued XLP member, Antwerp Metal Logistics NV, Belgium, a quick and efficient solution involving two workers from the shipper was founded.

Despite the complexities, all issues were successfully resolved on time. Intermodal Forwarding & HBH Logistics team wishes for safe travel to Central America.
