Australian members, Westlink Logistics have recently successfully handled the return of 2 Pacific Patrol Boats from Nuku'alofa (Tonga) and Suva (Fiji) to Cairns in Northern Queensland for refurbishment. The scope of work included ocean freight, operations coordination, project management, HSEQ management, customs and quarantine clearance. Westlink also completed the pre-lift inspections and structural integrity verification prior to the vessels arrival and the successful delivery involved close coordination with the local Fijian and Tongan Navy at both loading ports.
A job well done by Westlink Logistics with no issues or waiting at the loading or discharge ports.
Whats this about?
It is the “uncontained” shipments that draw a lifetime allegiance of purveyors of the business. As one MPV (Multi Purpose Vessel) analyst bluntly said as an aside, “Boxes are boring.”
