Volga-Dnepr Technics Moscow Continues to Set Up a Team of Professionals

Volga-Dnepr Technics Moscow (VDTM), a provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for foreign-made aircraft in Russia, completed the first recruitment course for young professionals. According to the successfully passed test results, nine trainees were recruited by VDTM for the position of Aircraft Mechanic (Avionics/Airframe & Engines).

For six months, a group of students and graduates from aviation technical universities were trained at VDTM Aviation Training Centre to obtain both the theoretical knowledge of basic disciplines and practical course. In addition to deepening the knowledge on such sophisticated topics as Electrical Wiring System, Fuel Tank Safety, Human Factor and Aviation Legislation, students mastered the aircraft maintenance having undergone initial aircraft type training. The most important stage of the training course was an on-the-job traineeship under the guidance of experienced mentors, practicing experts from VDTM staff which made it possible for the trainees to fully delve into the working process, gain practical skills in aircraft maintenance, meet future colleagues, and feel part of large and cohesive VDTM team.

While the participants of the first stream were taking the exam and obtaining employment at the VDTM, the company launched the second training stream for young professionals which will end in October 2019.
