Kent, England - Trans Global Projects Ltd (TGP), a first-class provider of international logistic solutions, celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2018. TGP has established itself as a trusted leader in its field whilst remaining independent in ownership.
TGP was founded on 4 January 1988 by Julian Clarke, Nick Harsant and Colin Charnock, who is the Group’s managing director. Headquartered in the UK, TGP’s service portfolio comprises activities such as project logistics management, supply chain management, ship chartering, aviation logistics, logistics consultancy and procurement, which are delivered through a network of 20 offices across the world.
At its foundation in 1988, TGP was a subsidiary company of the Trans Global Group, one of the UK’s largest independent multi-modal transportation organisations. In 2007, Breezeline International Group Ltd, a co-investor since the start, acquired full ownership of the TGP group of companies.Across the past 30 years, TGP has been responsible for the successful handling of innumerable projects for the oil and gas, metal and mining, power generation and petrochemical industries, working in some of the most remote areas of the world.
In 2015, TGP acquired the international forwarder Natco AG, which is based in Ruemlang/Zuerich (Switzerland). With this move, TGP has complemented its service portfolio with general forwarding activities and further enhanced its position to serve the crucial European markets of Germany, France and Italy, in addition to Switzerland.
Colin Charnock comments: “Since we started TGP on 4 January 1988, we have expanded our range of services substantially. Whilst TGP has been and will remain focused on project logistics, we have acquired partners who add general forwarding services to our Group’s portfolio. I offer a huge thank you to our loyal customers for their trust and their support. At the same time, I would like to thank everyone who has worked for and with TGP for their contribution to the durability and lasting success of the Group.”
Asked about TGP’s further development, Charnock adds: “When we first started TGP, we operated from an airfreight office at Heathrow Airport. Since then, we have grown our presence significantly and today feature offices across the globe. Having said that, we are looking forward to further expanding our worldwide network in 2018. The past 30 years were transformative indeed – and I am sure the next decades will be just as dynamic.”
