During the annual WWPC Conference in Frankfurt in May 2009, WWPC Member DELTA Maritime Limited, from Greece, and longstanding sponsor Rickmers-Linie, had a chat about general services that'resulted in a booking.

On request Rickmers-Linie arranged for an extra call at the Greek Port of Thessaloniki, demonstrating the flexibility and competitiveness of its liner services and its customer orientation. The cargo consisted of machinery and equipment and was discharged at Abu Dhabi at the end of June.
