BNSF Logistics (BNSFL), member to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for the USA, managed through their Houston Global Project Center (GPC) a shipment of six reels with a total weight of 184,000 Lbs from Antwerp to a private jetty at the Jensen Beach, FL Power Plant. The reels were loaded in Antwerp on a Spliethoff Vessel (M/V Slotergracht) for the voyage to Palm Beach Port in Florida. At Palm Beach Port all reels were directly discharged to a barge and transported to Jensen Beach. The cable will be spooled off on the ocean floor crossing the intra-coastal waterway from the power plant on the island to the main land and are replacing the overhead cables currently used.
