The Houston-based Project Division of UTC Overseas, Inc. announced the appointment of Brent Patterson as a Project Director with the firm. In that capacity he will oversee project development of industrial and global capital projects and services to Engineering and Procurement companies.

Patterson attended Chapman University before joining the U.S. Navy as a logistician, with a focus on aviation logistics. After departing the service, he formed his own company, Patterson Transportation, which specialized in North American heavy haul and heavy lift services. Prior to joining UTC Overseas, Inc. he served in a senior position at a large freight forwarding company.

'I had worked with UTC senior managers while serving on some trade associations,' Patterson said. 'UTC has clearly been growing, and has a strong reputation within the industry. As a consequence, I developed a greater appreciation for their strengths and capabilities, their global presence and the breadth of their skills and resources.'
