Third transmission line
Quality Freight Intl., Member to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for Panama, was nominated to act as a receiving agent in the port of Cristobal, Panama for the BBC Ontario, which carried two transformers of 84 tons each with respective accessories on board, for a total of 128 packages with a weight of 289 Mtons.
After discharge the transformers onto a 6 axle truck and 10 flat beds for the accessories the transport went to two designated jobsites.
Quality Freight provided support and supervision personnel, during the transport of the transformers to guarantee their timely and safe delivery.
This project was part of the extension of the third electricity distribution line in Panama.
Panama Canal dredging equipment
Quality Freight also managed to get a Transport Boom Stick from the Gamboa dredging division of the Panama Canal Authority to Manzanillo for shipment to Bremerhaven, Germany.
The part comprised of a 17 meter boom assembly for a Komatsu excavator, including steel construction and piping for hydraulic system.
The weight of this piece was 72 tons and had dimensions of 385 x 225 x 250 cm (LxWxH)
The service scope for Quality Freight consisted in the coordination of barge docking at MIT, reception of the piece in port with STS crane, and lashing and securing on Mafi 60 equipment from WWL.
