Brings more than 35 years of highway, alternative-delivery project experience to his new role as a senior vice president with the firm.

Portland, OR - Robert Ostermiller has been named a senior transportation program director for the Northwest at WSP USA, a leading engineering and professional services consultancy. 

In his new role as a senior vice president for WSP, Ostermiller will lead a multidisciplinary planning and engineering team to execute a NEPA and permitting strategy and deliver a multibillion-dollar transportation infrastructure program. Covering the western U.S., he will collaborate on projects and interface with multiple local, state, and federal jurisdictions, various stakeholders, and the public, and implement strategies for project financing, delivery, phasing and procurement.

Prior to joining WSP, Ostermiller served as senior program director for an international engineering firm. He was responsible for multiple transportation projects across the U.S., including a design-build project to create tolled express lanes on State Route 91 in Riverside County, California; and as has served as program director for major programs in Maryland and Colorado.

Ostermiller is a graduate of the Oregon Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, and Southern Oregon State College with a master’s degree in business administration. He is certified by the Construction Management Association of America and the Design Build Institute of America.
