“One-Stop-Shop” formed for LNG containment and fuel systems

LNT Marine Pte., Ltd. (“LNT Marine”) was established in June of this year as the result of a merger between LNG New Technologies Pte., Ltd. and MGI Thermo Pte., Ltd. The LNT A-BOX®, an IMO type A containment system for LNG and other liquefied gasses, is the collaborative effort of the two companies.
LNT Marine now joins innovative LNG tank system design with a full range of marine insulation for tanks, cargo holds and pipes, enabling the company to act as a one-stop-shop for IMO type A and type C LNG containment systems and fuel tanks, as well as solutions for other cold temperature cargoes.
“During our cooperation on the LNT45 project, it became clear that in order to continue optimizing the design and further reduce the cost of our LNT A-BOX® system, core competencies needed to be integrated under one roof,” says LNT Marine CEO Stein Foss. The LNT45 project is a 45,000 m3 LNG carrier based on the LNT A-BOX® containment system being built for Saga LNG Shipping at China Merchants Heavy Industry (Jiangsu) Co. in Haimen, China. “Now we can provide our customers with a more comprehensive containment system offering, in a simpler and more attractive structure for our clients and partners.”
