Oil drops with Libya boosting production in coming weeks

Crude futures in New York and London declined after Libya’s National Oil Corp. said the country’s output would surpass 1 million barrels a day in four weeks.

West Texas Intermediate crude futures fell 59 cents to $40.05 a barrel and Brent dropped 61 cents to $41.85 a barrel at 10:48 a.m. in New York.
