BERGÉ Forwarding successfully managed the door-to-door transportation of an oversized skid measuring 19.60 m x 6.05 m x 4.50 m and weighing 78 tons, along with accessories. The complex operation required specialized equipment, multimodal coordination, and detailed planning to ensure safe and efficient delivery to the client’s premises.
The operation began inside the manufacturer’s facility, where the skid was positioned on a Self-Propelled Modular Transporter (SPMT) to enable precise maneuvering and a safe exit through restricted space at the site gate.

Once outside the facility, the cargo was placed on steel stools, allowing the SPMT to disengage before transferring the unit onto a specialized heavy transport vehicle. The cargo was then moved during a carefully coordinated night road operation to the next stage of the journey.
The transport continued via river barge, connecting the cargo to the main port, where it was loaded onto a vessel bound for its final destination. Upon arrival, BERGÉ Forwarding supervised the final inland transport stage, ensuring the safe delivery of the cargo directly to the client’s premises.
The flawlessly executed operation highlights BERGÉ Forwarding’s expertise in managing oversized, technical, and complex logistics projects through precise planning and seamless coordination.
