Liberty Global Logistics LLC (LGL) continues to support the U.S. response to the global Coronavirus pandemic. LGL delivered 24 pallets totaling over 24,000 pounds of personal protective equipment (PPE) including masks, goggles, coveralls, and gowns donated to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) by His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of Jordan.

The M/V LIBERTY PROMISE loaded the PPE cargo in Aqaba, Jordan on March 15, 2021 and discharged the cargo on April 9th at the Port of Port Arthur. FEMA will be sending the PPE to Florida, Arizona, California, Texas, and Michigan, all states significantly affected by COVID-19.

“LGL is thankful to the Government of Jordan and was pleased to partner with the U.S. Army’s 595th Transportation Brigade, the Port of Port Arthur Cooper/Ports America, and SSA Marine to provide shipping, handling, storage and delivery services to FEMA at no cost. This coordinated effort will directly benefit Americans in five states to limit further spread of the virus and assist the country with getting back to normal as soon as possible” said Dave Minetti, LGL President.
