Bangkok, Thailand - Scheduled to take place in Bangkok, Thailand, from 5 to 7 September 2019, Intermat Asean (“Intermat”) and Concrete Asia (“Concrete Asia”) are the region’s trade shows for the construction and Concrete sectors.

“The creation of 14 new rail network lines consisting of 557 kilometres connecting the urban, inter-cities and outskirts is in the pipeline. This is to support the transportation system plan in the 4.0 era and to align with the 20-year national strategic plan to make rail networks better and more affordable. Currently, double track railways consisting of 1,314 kilometers connecting inter-cities has already been constructed. The government is planning two new routes, Bangkok - Nakhon Ratchasima and airport rail link connecting all three airports. The Ministry of Transport extends our support to Intermat and Concrete Asia, which allow Thai contractors and industry professionals to be updated on the latest technologies without having to travel aboard,” continued Mr. Sorapong Paitoonphong, Deputy Director General, Department of Rail Transport, Ministry of Transport.

Ms Watinee Saithong, Project Manager, IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd, shared, “Intermat Asean and Concrete Asia are strategically organized to provide business opportunities for the region. The participation of more than 300 leading local and international companies and 5,000 industry players reflects the confidence of the international and local community in the exhibitions.”

Mrs. Nichapa Yoswee, Senior Vice President – Business, Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), said that TCEB has a policy to use and support trade show as a tool to drive Thailand 4.0 policy. Intermat Asean and Concrete Asia can serve as an engine that can propel the infrastructure investment of the government, especially those in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) and, thus, can contribute to Thailand’s position as a communication and transport hub of the region. This responds well to TCEB support for Intermat Asean and Concrete Asia which aims to help the show become a Southeast Asian show and play a part in maintaining Thailand’s position as an international trade fair center of the ASEAN region.
