To achieve a stronger market position, and in response to increasing demand for project cargo services, G2 Ocean opens a new office in Hamburg, Germany.
“Germany is the manufacturing and engineering capital of Europe and by establishing a base here, we are able to further enhance our business and service offerings in the region,” Vice President Innovation/Project Cargo Leif Arne Strømmen in G2 Ocean says.
G2 Ocean’s newest addition to the team, Project Cargo Manager Mykola Kazadayev, will manage the office, which opens on December 1st, 2019.
He will be responsible for delivering diversified project cargo services to both new and existing customers operating in a variety of industrial sectors, such as oil and gas and wind power.
“I feel excited and honored to be part of and contribute to the company's future success. Together with the G2 Ocean team, I will strive to offer efficient, safe and tailormade logistic services to our project customers worldwide”, Kazadayev says.
From Competitive Broker to Senior Project Manager
Kazadayev has broad working experience within the shipping industry. He holds a Deep-Sea Navigator license and prior to joining G2 Ocean, he worked as a Competitive Broker & Chartering Manager for Döhle Group and Chartering Broker in BBC Chartering GmbH.
Kazadayev has also worked for Ernst Russ Shipbroker and has seven years of sailing experience onboard MPP/Heavy Lift ships.
The opening of the Hamburg office also marks the start of a new phase in G2 Ocean, with an increased focus on the offshore wind and oil and gas segments.
“G2 Ocean currently has a strong position in the onshore wind market, which gives a robust basis for project business. Strengthening our position in new industry segments will be an important task for the new office,” VP of Innovation/Project Cargo Leif Arne Strømmen concludes.
