Colonial allocates cycle 45 shipments on Line 2, Line 20
Colonial Pipeline is allocating Cycle 45 shipments on Line 2, its main distillate line, and on Line 20, according to a notice sent to shippers on Thursday.
Information on Line 20 will be available to shippers on Aug. 7 and Line 2 information will be available Aug. 10, the pipeline operator said.
Line 2 runs from Houston to Greensboro, North Carolina. This allocation is for the pipeline segment north of Collins, Mississippi, Colonial said.
Line 20 carries distillate from Atlanta to Nashville, Tennessee.
The company generally announces allocations when requests for space to ship petroleum products on its lines exceed its ability to meet the five-day lifting cycle.
Colonial’s cycles are five-day periods when a sequence of all in-season products is pumped. The company pumps the same sequence of products every five days.
Colonial connects Gulf Coast refineries with markets across the southern and eastern United States through more than 5,500 miles (8,850 km) of its pipeline system, delivering gasoline, diesel, jet fuel and other refined products.
