Shanghai, China - XLProjects member, City Union Logistics recently completed an 18 month move of 14 transformers as well as 250 containers (Flat Rack and Open Top) to the Egypt Helwan Power Station.

Totalling 183 tons with dims of 6.5m x 4.5m x 4.4m.

Working scope: All the documents handling for the whole transportation, cargo receiving at Shanghai port, heavy lift vessel chartering, cargo receiving at Adabiya port, arranging the trailer at discharging port, transporting the transformer and accessories by trailer to Helwan Jobsite.

As is the practice, extensive study and survey was conducted as part of this movement regarding the origin, destination and the travel route. Each point of the entire project was carefully assessed to ensure a fool proof and smooth journey of the cargo. The transformers were moved in SPMT trailer and offloaded using jack and slid. The entire movement was done overcoming lot of challenges and as usual our team were enthusiastically delivering their best throughout the process.
