Amid India’s second Covid crisis, CHI Aviation Handling GmbH in cooperation with the national carrier Air India and global forwarder DSV Air & Sea handled a total of five special flights with medical supplies with destinations Srinagar (SXR) and Delhi (DEL) at Frankfurt International Airport (FRA) in May and early June. Among other urgent life-saving goods, 31.5 tons of oxygen tanks, 27 tons of oxygen generators, and 68 tons of granules for the production of oxygen were loaded. Boeing C17 were used for all five charter flights.
India’s flag carrier airline looks back on 18 very special and demanding months. She has responded very agile and flexible to the demands of the Indian health sector and pharmaceutical industry and has transported many tons of medical supplies both in import and export.
Air India has also extended its contract with CHI Aviation Handling GmbH for the handling of air freight in Frankfurt. The airline has been a customer of CHI Aviation since 2017 and is thus continuing the successful cooperation.
