BNSF Logistics, a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) network for the USA, handled through their Banning,CA office the transport of 3 transformers each 340,000 Lbs – 32’ x 10’ x 15’3 from the Port of Baltimore to the final jobsite in Maryland The transformers we transported by rail to the nearest rail siding, then offloaded on to a special hydraulic 15 axle Goldhofer platform trailer and transported to the jobsite. On site the transformers were then placed on the foundation by jack & slide method.
