Destination:
Durban, South Africa

Introduction:
Red Wolf Global recently completed the intricate transport of the Kaltenplus 1100, an industrial refrigeration system, from Valencia, Spain, to Durban, South Africa. This 65-day operation, led by Michiel John van Niekerk, Import and Export Controller for Red Wolf Global, involved multiple transshipment points and showcased the company’s expertise in managing oversized and sensitive equipment.

Body:
The Kaltenplus 1100, weighing 10,446 kilograms and occupying 89.540 cubic meters, was disassembled and packed into three 40-foot high cube containers for the journey. The shipment traveled through several major ports, including Barcelona, Gioia Tauro, King Abdullah Port, and Jebel Ali, before arriving at its final destination in Durban.

"This shipment required precision due to the size and sensitivity of the equipment. We ensured that every step of the journey was carefully managed to guarantee the cargo’s safe arrival," said Michiel John van Niekerk, who led the project.

Red Wolf Global handled the complex logistics operation with expertise, ensuring seamless transitions at each transshipment point. Upon arrival in Durban, the company successfully coordinated the transition from ocean freight to local delivery, further demonstrating their proficiency in project cargo logistics.

The Kaltenplus 1100 is a critical component for commercial food production and storage, and its safe and timely delivery was essential to ensure uninterrupted operations in South Africa’s food industry.
