Alexander Global Logistics Handle Another Heavy Lift Movement to Russia
Aug 17, 2016
Alexander Global Logistics (AGL) are productive and reliable PCN members in Germany, Russia and Mongolia. The company have recently handled another heavy lift movement from Germany to Russia.
AGL report the successful move of 3 heavy lift pieces as outlined below (and photographed in the thumbnail gallery) along with 35 cases of accessories:
57tns - 15.75 x 4.65 x 3.95m
172tns - 13.35 x 2.85 x 2.90m
89tns - 13.50 x 2.70 x 3.70m
The cargo was moved from the German inland port of Berlin to the City of Tobolsk in the Western Siberian region of Russia. AGL hired and operated a 600tn crawler crane and a heavy lift barge to transport the goods from the customer's own private jetty.
Jürgen Weyhausen (Director of Projects) commented that AGL usually charters a heavy lift barge and a huge crane each month for this customer to transport their heavy equipment all over the world.
Whats this about?
It is the “uncontained” shipments that draw a lifetime allegiance of purveyors of the business. As one MPV (Multi Purpose Vessel) analyst bluntly said as an aside, “Boxes are boring.”
